promoted to 1st Dahn Black Belt by Kuk Sa Nim.

" Of course, it goes without saying that without, my Dad, this journey may never have
begun. He still keeps this journey's challenges " out of reach", but not "out
of sight", and selflessly provides the feedback, encouragement, reassurance, and
assistance whenever I need it."
JKN Jenny Osman
I'm Jenny and I'm 16 years old; I started Kuk Sool Won in June 2006.
I joined for the fitness and the opportunity to learn self-defence. Over the years Kuk Sool Won
has increased my confidence and allowed me to make
life-long friends.
In 2007 I had the opportunity to go to the Spanish Championships in Barcelona for my first major
tournament, and I came home with 3 Silver medals. Later
that year I entered the European
Championships held in Lowestoft where
I won 2 Silvers and 1 Bronze.
The British Championships was the last event
of the year,
and I won a Silver medal.
2008 was a big year for me; first was the 08 Europeans where I won 1 Gold, 2 Bronze and 1 Copper.
At the British Championships
I won 1 Gold and 2 Silvers. But the highlight for me came with being promoted to the rank of Black Belt
after a lot of hard work.
Since becoming a Black Belt I entered the Spanish Championships this year and came away with 2 Golds,
2 Silvers, 1 Bronze and 1 Copper medals.
I enjoy Kuk Sool Won for many reasons. Fitness and knowledge are important, but it is mainly due to the close extended family it has given me. Another enjoyable factor is helping in the junior class, and watching them improve.
"JKN Jenny has great ability for all aspects of Kuk Sool Won, she also has a great deal of respect and patience for the under black belt students and is a real credit to the school" - KSN Kevin
